As a resident of Phillipsburg, NJ, Mr. Toupin comes to Notre Dame High School as a recent college graduate of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, where Mr. Toupin received a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education/ English. As a student, he graduated Cum laude. Mr. Toupin built his education philosophy around student-centered learning, which he carried into his student teaching placement at Kutztown Area High School in Kutztown, Pennsylvania where he taught twelfth grade British Literature. Following his efforts, he established a great learning environment for his students, which he hopes to continue to bring into his classroom at Notre Dame High School. Mr. Toupin is a firm believer that every student has the capacity to learn and succeed at the highest level, and as long as he is a teacher at Notre Dame, he will work beyond his limits to ensure each student has received a top quality education from his classroom.

I have worked as a school counselor in the Allentown Diocese since 2012. Prior to that, I spent several years working with youth transitioning out of the foster care and juvenile justice systems. In addition to my school counseling duties at Notre Dame High School, I am a member of our Student Assistance Program (SAP) team and serve as the Academic Monitor for our Concussion Management Team.

Mrs. Vaca has been a teacher in the Diocese of Allentown for nearly four decades. She has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from East Stroudsburg University. In addition, she has completed graduate work at Allentown College, ESU, and Wilkes University. Mrs. Vaca also holds Master Catechist Certification.

Mrs. Vail has started her 15th year as an Administrative Assistant in the Guidance Office.
Previously, Mrs. Vail worked for the Easton Area School District. She worked as a Para-professional in a 3rd-grade Inclusion classroom and as an Administrative Assistant in the Main Office at Cheston Elementary School. She also worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Guidance Office at Shawnee Middle School. She also volunteered with the Remedial Reading Program at Cheston Elementary School.

Gene Wakeman majored in Physics and Math earning a Bachelors of Science from Houghton College. He also conducted graduate studies in Dielectric Physics at Rutgers University and Science Education at NJ College and Wilkes University.
He started his career teaching all the sciences and some math at Central Jersey Christian High School in Asbury Park, NJ. After 9 years of teaching, finding himself married, starting a family, and needing a greater income he changed careers to industrial research. He spent the next 23 years as a research scientist for Union Carbide and Minerals Technologies (Pfizer). After losing his wife of 22 years to breast cancer, he remarried to a teacher and went back into teaching at Lehigh Valley Christian High School (3 years), Wm. Allen High School (4 years), and finally Notre Dame.
He has three children and his wife has three. Between them, they have 12 grandchildren, 10 of whom live in the area, which keeps them both very busy. He is an Elder (20 years) at New Covenant Community Christian Church (NC4) where they are both very involved. Other interests include Bible study, golf, tennis, and shooting.
At Notre Dame he teaches AP Physics, Honors Physics, CP Physics, and Physical Science for the last six years. He also coaches boys tennis.
When asked about how he feels about teaching at Notre Dame, he consistently responds that it is the great students which make every day of teaching so special.

Mrs. Weber has been employed at Notre Dame for 20 years, and currently serves as the International Student Program Coordinator. As Peer Listener moderator (11 years), she trains students to assist their peers. Her professional experience includes more than 25 years working with Special Needs teens and adults, and she was employed for several years at DeSales University in the admissions office.

Craig Wrigglesworth came to the US in 2011. Originally from England, he has experience playing and coaching both club and school soccer. In his initial years in the US he acted as Head Coach for multiple Major League Soccer-affiliated youth camps across the United States. He simultaneously led coach education sessions for newly qualified coaches in local communities. More recently he served as Head Coach for elite girl’s teams in the EDP and Varsity teams in the colonial league located in the Lehigh Valley. He concurrently acted as Head Coach for top-tier boy’s teams in the DELCO League. Craig is involved with both Penn Fusion Lehigh Valley and Western Lehigh United. He currently is licensed through the English FA, UEFA, USSF, and USC. He will be relocating from Palmerton where he served as the Varsity girls Head Coach for 3 years to Bethlehem, where he and his wife Emma will be closer to friends and their careers.
