Biography

Nancy is the current Notre Dame High School Director of Development and a very proud ND alumna from the Class of 1982.  Her journey after high school took her to both Dickinson and Moravian Colleges.  Soon after, she married and became the mother of two wonderful children, David and Kelly.  In high school and college, she worked summers as a bank teller which became a perfect foundation for what would become a career in the financial service industry.

Nancy worked her way from the teller line to branch management to market manager to finally Vice President of Business Relationships for the Warren County, NJ region.  She had the opportunity to work for two DE novo banks, which are banks that were considered start-up financial institutions and therefore had no customers and no accounts on day one.  What a learning experience in sales, marketing, lending, accounting and bank management!   Throughout her banking career, she had the opportunity to attend several academic programs for banking and management and attained her certification in Financial Services and Banking through Dickinson College and the Advanced School of Bank Management and Lending through Bucknell University.  She also was involved in several non-profit agencies and served on many boards during her banking tenure.  Nancy was part of the Executive Board, Board Chair and Campaign Chair for United Way of Warren County; was a founding member of the Women’s Leadership Society of Warren County; Executive Board member and Board Chair for the Warren County Chamber of Commerce; a member of the Phillipsburg Urban Enterprise Zone board; a member of the Board for the Phillipsburg Downtown Association and also a member and Past President of the Easton Lions Club, where she still serves today.  In 2010, she served as Chairwoman of Easton Heritage Day, leading a team of dedicated individuals in the planning of the annual historical and community festival for 10,000 visitors.

After deciding she wanted to transition her skills to the non-profit world, Nancy accepted the position of Director of Marketing and Member Services for the YMCA of Easton-Phillipsburg.  She then saw the opportunity to join the Diocese of Allentown as an Advancement Director as they rolled out the partnership with the Healey Education Foundation.  She has served the Diocese since 2012 at St. Michael’s the Archangel School, Pius X High School, Bethlehem Catholic High School and now for 3 plus years at her alma mater, Notre Dame.  She has continued to train under Healey as well as through NCEA, Partners in Mission and La Salle University School of Non-Profit Management, where she will attain her certification in Non-Profit Management in 2019.

She loves working with the students at ND in the Key Club and also with the ND families.  She currently is the grant writer for the school and has secured over $100,000 to help students with financial aid.  She enjoys planning alumni events and learning how successful our graduates have become and how tied to our Mission they continue to live.  In her free time, she enjoys boating and traveling with her husband Jim.  She also enjoys spending time with her daughter Kelly, who is the Executive Director of a non-profit in New Jersey, and her husband Rick as well as her son David, a high school math teacher, and his wife Ashley.  She has a passion for the sport of wrestling and follows her son as he is the head coach for one of the most winning programs in New Jersey.  She and her husband are the extremely proud grandparents to two wonderful girls, Madison and Mackenzie and look forward to watching them learn, explore and love life.
