Week of 11/11/2019 – 11/15/2019

Students will continue to work with the present indicative. I will give a simplified lesson on sentence formation in Spanish. We will focus on each type of stem- changing verb individually. We left off at o to ue , we will continue with that and move on to e to ie and e to i. We will continue practicing with the conjugation sheets and continue with handouts as well as textbook activities.

Stem- changing verb activities from the textbook:

p. 27 Activity 14

p.28 Activity 15: Class speaking activity using cubes. The class will split into 3 groups. There will only be 2 cubes. Cube sides must be labeled by number. Cube 1: pronouns. Cube 2: Stem- changing verbs. Each team will roll the cube when it’s their turn and come up with a sentence. Students will practice making logical sentences. If correct, they earn the points on the cube. If sentence is not logical ,they do not get the points. The team with the most points wins.

Handouts will be given out in class.

If time permits this week, we will jump into affirmative and negative words in Chapter 1. Otherwise, we will move into it the following week.
