March 19, 2020: While at home . . . .

¡Hola, estudiantes! ¿Cómo están Uds.?

I pray that you and all of your loved ones are doing well and are healthy. Please conscientiously practice “social distancing.”  It is difficult for us to implement a new lifestyle during this precarious time, but we will get through this with everyone’s consideration and cooperation. God willing, we will do it safely if everyone follows the essential guidelines. Please protect yourself and your loved ones.

While you are at home, please also take some time to distract yourself from the obvious and continue to learn. I thought you might like to find out about some Easter traditions in Sevilla, Spain and in Europe, in general. The following videos are made by Rick Steves, who is described as “an American travel writer, author, activist and television personality. His travel philosophy encourages people to explore less-touristed areas of destinations and to become immersed in the local people’s way of life. Since 2000, he has hosted Rick Steves’ Europe, a travel series on public television.”

Even though we can’t be there, for now we can travel in our minds . . . The following are three videos I hope you will enjoy:
