  • We will list and define the criteria used in naming muscles.  We will discuss an example to illustrate the use of each criterion.
  • We will name and identify various muscles in the body and their action
  • Discuss the motor unit and explain how muscle fibers are stimulated to contract
  • Review the sliding filament theory of skeletal muscle
