• Lecture:
  • Begin discussion on  blood typing
  • Review antigen and antibody reactions

Tuesday, February 25th – A Day

Wednesday, February 26th – B Day

• Review agglutination with students
• Lab:
  • students will be given unknown simulated blood samples and identify whether the samples are blood types A B AB or O using simulated antibodies (graded assignment)

Thursday, February 27th – A Day

Friday, February 28th – B Day

• Lecture:
  • Begin discussion on blood spattering
  • Discuss the various patterns associated with spattering
• Classwork – work on spattering and typing packet in groups
• Lab: (if time allows)
  • students will take various blood spatters and identify the point of origin for each spatter
  • students will create their own spatters and measure the point of origin for each spatter
