We will read/complete CH 2.3, Remote Sensing PP 41-50. They will prepare a NTBK CK to include VOC(5 terms) and EQ(3 question), P 41. Information pertaining to Landsat satellite, OSTM/Jason- 2 satellite, SeaBeam, Global Positioning Systems(GPS) and Geographic Information Systems(GIS) will be covered in class PPT and extended into an internet research activity in which students will conduct research and share information (system design, use of electromagnetic frequency, applications/use, and discovery basics) in class.

We will extend/supplant core content with a Technology Extension, Mapping Disaster Zones P 43.

We will complete (in small groups) a Geo Lab: Using Topographic Maps, PP 48-49: Qs 1-8 in APA lab format.

To facilitate test preparation, students will complete their study guide packet on 2.1- 2.3(from last WK) and review Ch 2 Study Guide
information on P 50. Students will answer Qs 32-35. 37-40, 41 and 42 due MON 10/28.

Ch 2 Test is scheduled for WED 10/23.
