ENV-SCI, PER 4A: WK 10/28- 11/01

Students will close out Q1 by completing all assignments and tests by weeks end.

We will begin CH 3 on TUE 10/29. Students will complete Vocabulary and essential questions for CH 3.1-3.3 for NTBK assessment by THU 10/31.

We will work to complete a graphic organizer designed for the comparison/contrast of 4 topics. This can be found in textbook Appendix C on P R 16. We will construct the organizer in class on TUE 10/28; then, complete it throughout the week based on textbook, PPT and supplemental content. Sections should be labeled: Geosphere, Atmosphere, Hydrosphere and Biosphere.

Students will complete an analytic mini-lab on statistics and probability. This will include direct practice with probability, statistics, sample size, range ,mean ,median and expanded study (using class results and chrome book applications). We will start this TUE 10/28 and complete it THU 10/31. Students will work in groups and use a deck of cards to complete the activity.

For CH 3.1, Geosphere we will cover topics to include(but not limited to): Pangea, continental drift, Pacific Ring of Fire, Alfred Wegener, Physical layers of the Earth, compositional Layers of the Earth, etc..PPT and supplemental WS and activities(tectonic plate activity) will occur on THU 10/31.
