Hello everyone..

Hope this finds you all in good spirits, safe at home and enjoying this first day of Spring. You will recall that prior to our time off,we were working on the following topics: Mendel,genetics,mitosis and meiosis as we worked our way through through the chapter. At this time, you should have all four sections completed in your NTBK to include: terms, key ideas, outline and videos/problems.

For enrichment, I’d like you to watch a short video by the Amoeba Sisters on You Tube called Mitosis vs. Meiosis: Side by Side Comparison. Summarize your findings using a T-Chart; then,write 1 good question about either process. Consider what you’d like to know. Write 1 developed question.

After writing your question down, use an internet search engine to locate (and cite) 3 sources. Use the sources to find the answer to your question. Write the answer using 50-100 words. We will share questions and answers with each other.

Over the next few weeks, you will be getting a series of short assignments and tasks. I will assign bonus points for each video assigned and summarized in your NTBK at 5 PTs/video.
