“Aevidum is a club that provides a strong, student-oriented, support system for all students. Originally started at Cocalico High School by students, teachers, and administration out of refusal to stay silent about mental health, after one of their students died by suicide. The group has gained significant recognition through news channels, and has grown into an immense effort to fight against the stigma surrounding depression, as well as other mental health issues.

At Notre Dame, we plan to continue this effort in order to provide our student body with a positive support system for mental health issues, and a safe environment to discuss these matters for all. The Cocalico student-created word, Aevidum, is derived from Latin roots and means “I’ve got your back”. We, at ND’s Aevidum chapter, Have your back, without hesitation.

There is no cost of membership for this club and meetings are held Wednesday mornings, during Crusader Time. All students interested in joining are encouraged to attend any of the Wednesday meetings, or can reach out to Mrs. Pavan or Mr. Stackhouse, in guidance.”
