Dear Parents,

We will spend next watching a movie on the life of Pope St. John Paul II.  He lived through WWII in Poland and so lived under the German Nazi Occupation and later under the communist rule of the Soviet Union.  Since we did a debate on would the Church be stronger or weaker if Christianity were illegal today, it gives a picture of the Polish Catholic Church which remained strong during years of persecution.  There will be a Discussion Questions worksheet to go a long with the movie.

Also, we will continue our series on the Sacraments through the Ages:  Phase II-The Dark Ages.

We may begin the Sacrament of Reconciliation by the end of the week (Ch. 6).
