Bio:

Years as Head Coach: 3rd Season, 11 seasons total with the program

Tom Herrity has been a part of the Notre Dame Golf program with distinction for the past decade, establishing a tradition of success both individually and as a team. Under his leadership, the program has achieved remarkable milestones, including Colonial League Championships in 1999, 2011, and 2012. His unwavering commitment to excellence has made him a cornerstone of the school’s athletic community.

Athletic Background:
Herrity competed in both varsity golf and basketball at Allentown Central Catholic High School. His passion for golf carried him to the collegiate level where he played at Division I, Mount Saint Mary’s University.

Schedule

Notre Dame Varsity Golf is a co-ed team. Our home course is Green Pond CC. We play a condensed schedule with our 13 league matches being played in a 4-5 week period in August and September.  League and District championships take place from mid-September to October. Eight players participate per match with the top five scores counting for the match.

Team Philosophy

Golf is a game that can be played for a lifetime.  Coach Herrity looks to instill a love of the game by encouraging continuous improvement in each student-athlete.  This improvement needs to be week-to-week as well as year-to-year.  We will teach the technical skills to improve, as well as develop the mental aspects to compete effectively.

Playing opportunities are determined by competitive competition during the preseason as well as throughout the season.
