Aevidum is a club that provides a strong, student-oriented, support system for all students—originally started at Cocalico High School by students, teachers, and administration out of refusal to stay silent about mental health after one of their students died by suicide. The group has gained significant recognition through news channels and has grown into an immense effort to fight against the stigma surrounding depression, as well as other mental health issues.

ND MiniTHON – Moderator Mrs. Fenton
The Penn State IFC/PHC Dance Marathon (THON) is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. The proceeds benefit the Four Diamonds Fund, conquering childhood cancer, at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.
During THON weekend, 700 dancers and thousands of supporters come together in the hopes of one day finding a cure for pediatric cancer. Whether standing for two days as a dancer, entering the crowd, taking care of the facility, or even standing in the bleachers, every person at THON plays a small part in creating an amazing atmosphere of love, compassion, and understanding. This collective effort, involving more than 15,000 students, has become one of Penn State’s greatest and most unifying traditions.
Notre Dame Student Council hosted its first Mini-THON in November 2008. The dancers (81 strong) raised more than $16,000 for the Four Diamond Fund. For more information check out ND MiniTHON
Peer Listeners – Moderator Ms. Elliott and Mrs. Spoonley
Peer Listeners are students who undergo training to learn how to effectively communicate, actively listen, and handle situations if they are caught in a critical situation with a student who needs immediate attention from an adult. These students put in a lot of hard work over the summer at our training and will be completing the final stages of this training in the coming weeks during Crusader Time. The purpose of Peer Listeners is for the students to be constantly aware of their peers daily, and to be the students who go above and beyond to be the best they can be for our school community.
