The Notre Dame Hispanic Student Union’s (HSU) purpose is to promote an appreciation of the Hispanic culture and heritage, while simultaneously cultivating inclusiveness and mutual respect for diversity throughout the entire Notre Dame community.
The HSU will be open to all members of Notre Dame High School. We welcome students, faculty/staff, and administrators of all races, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds to join and celebrate Hispanic culture. Moreover, Notre Dame is host to many international students every year, many of whom hail from Spain and Latin America. The HSU will provide a warm and welcoming space where these students can make new friends while participating in all of the club’s charitable, social, and educational activities.
Members of the HSU will participate in cultural activities and service projects benefiting both the Notre Dame community and the local Easton/Bethlehem communities. The HSU will also invite notable and accomplished members of the local Hispanic community to campus for presentations on education, entrepreneurship, business, social justice issues, etc. Additionally, the HSU will sponsor and promote events to enhance the appreciation of cultural diversity.
