Dear Parents,

The Students are finishing up their Review Questions for Ch. 5 -The Sacrament of the Eucharist.  We have also began a series on “Sacraments through the Ages” and we began “Phase One:  The Ancient Church.” This series will focus on the growth and development of the Sacraments through five ages of the Church.  For the Ancient Church, we learned of the situation the Church was in, as Christianity was illegal during this time (around 250 AD).

Based on this description of Christianity, the Students debated on whether the Church today would be stronger or weaker if it was illegal today.  The Students developed arguments and counterarguments based on whether they thought the Church would be stronger or weaker.  We then had a formal debate in Class!

Next week we will continue (and finish up) the Sacrament of the Eucharist with a power point and a group assignment.
