• Review:
  • students will have an opportunity to take a pretest for the Muscular System
• Teacher Review:
  • review three types of muscle tissue – how to recognize each
  • review the microscopic ID of bands ( A & I) and the proteins actin and myosin
  • review the role Ca ions play in muscular contraction
  • review the role of the neuron in contraction (know the term neuromuscular junction)
  • review the major muscles discussed in class and where their location is on the human body

Wednesday, March 11th – B Day

Thursday, March 12th – A Day

• Test on the Muscular System (first half)
• Lecture:
  • Introduce new chapter with students (The Nervous System)
  • Handout homework packet (due the day of the test)
  • Handout coloring packets on a neuron and the central nervous system – students will work in groups

Friday, March 13th – B Day
