The futur Proche or Near Future , translates into going to. Ex; I eat>. I am going to eat.
In order to form the Futur Proche inFrench one must use a helping verb. That helping verb is ALLER (to go), which is conjugated according to the subject and inserted in front of the existing verb in a given sentence. The initial verb in the sentence must revert back to the infinitive (9/10 rule) . The 9/10 rule states that: when two verbs follow in a given sentence and one is conjugated, the 2nd verb must be in the infinitive.
for ex: I eat = Je mange, >>> Je vais manger. or Elle demande une question>>> Elle va demander une question.
Remember not to use ‘will’ or ‘shall” because in french they mean another tense altogether.
