Spanish 2 Classwork: Week of Sept. 30-Oct. 4, 2019

This week’s classes:  Monday, Weds. and Friday

Monday, Sept. 30:

  • Independent and Partner work today.
  • Guided Practice pp. 155-158 (Vocab check)
  • Core Practice p. 89 (tener), p. 92 (crossword puzzle), and p. 93 (organizer)
  • Students read dialogues on Core p. 89 with a partner
  • Review vocab flash cards.

Weds., Oct. 2:

  • Wrapping up chapter 5A and review for Friday’s test
  • TB p. 233 # 20: using possessive adjectives to ask and answer questions
  • Period 4: Reviewed TB p. 232 # 18-La Cenicenta (Cinderella)-more possessive adjectives ,
  • TB p. 235 Diminutives, #23 reading the birthday card and listing diminutives and party objects in Spanish and #24 listening to a description of birthday party and responding true/false.
  • Culture note: Diminutives are VERY common in Mexican culture. Use is not only to indicate small or little, but also “dear.”
  • TB pp. 238 & 239 (fiesta de quince años).  Reading, discussing, answering questions.
  • At  this point, all 5A Core Practice pages should be complete.

Friday, Oct. 4: 

  • Capítulo 5A test
  • TB p. 241: project discussed.
  • TB p. 236: the letters p, t, and q.
