Athletic Hall of Fame

The Notre Dame High School Athletic Hall of Fame was created in 1990 to honor former athletes, coaches, teams and friends for outstanding achievement. Their stories stand as testimony to the rich history that athletics play in the education of Notre Dame students and of their pursuit of excellence both on and off the field.

 

Hall of Fame Nominations

The Notre Dame High School Athletic Hall of Fame nomination process is open to everyone. We welcome and encourage your participation with worthy candidates. Please review the criteria listed below and then submit your nomination to the Development Team.

Online Submission

Your submission should include as much factual information as possible about the individual. Nominees may be contacted to request more information if needed.

The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to honor student athletes, coaches, teams and contributors to the athletic program at Notre Dame High School.  The selection of these individuals and teams establishes pride and preserves the traditions and history of the Notre Dame athletic program.

ELIGIBILITY:  Any Notre Dame High School athlete or individual that participated in one or more sports is eligible for selection.

“ATHLETE” AWARD:

  • Must be a graduate of Notre Dame High School
  • Eligible for induction 5 years after graduation
  • Can be either living or deceased
  • Should have achieved one or more of the following distinctions:
    – Had a distinguished career (school records or outstanding achievements considered)
    – Accomplished a significant achievement (League/District/State recognition)
    – Consideration of college/professional career

“TEAM” AWARD:

  • Eligible for induction 5 years after competition
  • Must have accomplished a significant achievement in representing Notre Dame High School (Undefeated season, league/district/state championship)
  • Only team members on the official roster and/or inclusion in yearbook records will be considered as part of inducted team

“COACH” AWARD:

  • Must have been a coach at Notre Dame High School for at least 5 years
  • Should have achieved one or more of the following distinctions:
    – Made a significant contribution(s) to the program
    – Had a distinguished career
    – Accomplished a significant achievement

“SPECIAL SERVICE” AWARD:

Outstanding Service to the Notre Dame High School athletic programs and/or team(s)
