Biographical Info
A native of Brooklyn, NY, born and raised of Roman Catholic faith, Dr. Rosanna Gentile comes to Notre Dame High School with passion and heart to teach all classes in the Physical Education Department! Her previous roles were in the capacity of teaching at both Columbia Borough Junior/Senior High School and East Stroudsburg University. She partnered up with her husband in 2010 in creating the brand and seasonal business of Dr. Driveway Sealcoating Service Specialists. As sole owners and operators, summers are busy! Prior to those roles Dr. Gentile served nearly 9 years in the U.S. Army as a 31R and then Fitness Specialist before completing her contracts and receiving an Honorable Discharge in 2007.
Now moved and nestled into Lower Nazareth for years to come, Dr. Gentile is happily married with their two rambunctious Italian boys Giuseppe and Giovanni. Her very close family is first generation to the United States, and the boys have been her biggest inspiration to be the best role model that she can be to complete her everlasting educational quest; finally, Rosanna finished her Ph.D. in 2016 and attended her Capella University graduation in New Orleans. Her Ph.D. is in Education, specializing in Training and Performance Improvement. She also holds a Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in Sports Management, and a Bachelors from Penn State University where she studied Kinesiology and Applied Fitness.
