Mr. Geoff Gowey has taught all levels of French at Notre Dame High School since January of 2003, and has also worked in the Finance Dept. here since 2005. His focus is principally on Financial Aid, the “Facts” program, and on collections, as well as assisting with other duties in hat dept. Prior to his tenure at NDHS, his career was centered in New York City, where he worked primarily for multinational French banking institutions in their International Finance divisions. Mr. Gowey was born in Cairo, Egypt, and has had the privilege of traveling extensively during his career, both for business and pleasure. He has lived in several different areas of the world, as well as a period in Paris, France. He is pleased to be able to share the fruits of these life experiences with his students. He attended City College of New York, as well as Montclair State College in New Jersey. Mr. Gowey’s native tongue is French, and it is the language in which he received his entire secondary education from French-speaking Jesuits. He and his wife Janet have one son. His interests are reading, travel, and golf.
