Friday/Monday: Review the definition of literature and the individual aspects of it that must be applied to any given piece of literature: Form, Expression, Ideas of Permanent and Universal Interest, and how these are Essential to the understanding of the message of the piece.  Also, review of the words defined last week from pages 20-21 in text.

Homework: REDO the Memes as literature homework from last week correctly with a NEW MEME. (You may not use any of the memes done in class, nor the one you previously did. All memes MUST be cited. No work other than the meme can come from any source other than the students own brain. No outside resources may be used. Please refer to last week’s assignment for directions. Also, please hand in your original assignment with your new assignment stapled together.

Tuesday/Wednesday & Thursday/Friday: Identify myth elements in the myths on pages 27-32 and 34-37. These will include elements of origin vs. creation myths, pantheism and archetypes, etc.  Introduction of “Create your own myth” project. See class documents for details, but do not work on this until you have spoken with me first.
