A survey study of the United States from 1877 to present.

Course Outline:

  1. The New Industrial Age of the 19th Century
  2. Democratic reform and imperialism
  3. World War
  4. The Twenties
  5. The Great Depression
  6. World War II
  7. Post-War America, the beginning of the Cold War and the 1950s
  8. America in the 1960s
  9. America in the 70s and 80s
  10. America in the 90s into the 21st Centur
  11. America in the 21st Century

Method of Grading:

  1. Term: Homework-25%; Classwork-25%; Tests: 50%
  2. Semester: First and second term grades-80%; Exam-20%
  3. Final Grade: Average of first and second semester grades

Course Requirements:

  1. Homework: Reading every night; Written-at least one assignment per week
  2. Tests and exams: Tests- three per marking period: Exams- midterm and final

NOTE: Parent grade portal is updated weekly. THERE IS NO EXTRA CREDIT.
