Fun with Grammar! No – that is NOT an oxymoron, kiddos!

Good morning! Can you believe today (Tuesday, 3/24) is only our 8th actual school-day at home? Seems like forever, doesn’t it? Remember all those times I said to you, “I know you hated getting up and coming to school today. But imagine if someone told you couldn’t come to school. How would you feel about it then?”  Well, here we are… (insert crazy-face emoji with the rolling eyes and lolling tongue here)

One of the things students struggle with in writing is the comma. Seems like such a simple thing, right? Yet how many of you would have thought of putting the comma in the previous sentence? Most of you have a khanacademy.org account because of my SAT Prep class. If not, sign up for one with your ND email, because we will be using it in the 4th MP SAT Prep class, when you will need it anyway. It’s FREE and a great resource – even more so during this time at home.

Enrichment: Use the following link to complete the exercises on comma usage.

And yes – have fun!
