Michael Regnet is a former United States Marine, who spent about 5 years as a geologist on the east coast. After some old military wounds reactivated Michael decided to take his experience into the classroom to teach science and has been doing so in Lehigh Valley for about 2 years now.
Michael’s philosophy is that science is about doing, exploring and experimenting. In order for learners to truly understand the processes and goals of science, they must get their hands dirty and use their minds to solve problems. Understanding the scientists of the past and what they achieved, can help our future scientists gain a basic grasp of our current theories. However, to truly understand the role and implications of those theories, a learner must first understand the process and validity of the scientific method. This understanding comes from use and practice.
